Irene Wheeler's Obituary
Irene “Renie” Wheeler, 71, of Decatur, IL, formerly of Houston, TX, died Wednesday, April 27 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, with her family by her side.
Irene was born December 18, 1944, in Harvey, IL, the daughter of Nicholas and Sally (Wasilkoff) Kalesnekoff. She will be greatly missed by her beloved daughter Tracey Frugoli and son-in-law Edward Coleman of East Peoria; as well as by her sister Ellen Warren of Decatur; nephews Marshall (Alana) and Brad (Cari) Warren; and their children Maddie, Trisha, Pierce and Parker (of whom she was so proud); her treasured dog Buddy; and many friends and relatives across the country.
Renie always brought the sparkle to any occasion, and over her lifetime was multi-talented in musical theater performance, industrial show production, computer technology, real estate and retail sales, and her recent business Fabulous Fabrications. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, spiritual study, learning the latest technology, attending family sporting and musical events, but most of all, assisting her daughter with artistic and photographic projects.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Per her wishes, cremation services were afforded by Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home www.graceland/fairlawn.com. Arrangements for a memorial celebration are pending. Renie would be honored by contributions to The Salvation Army or The Humane Society of the United States.
