Iva Eileen Hogan's Obituary
Iva Eileen Hogan, 98, of Decatur, passed away Thursday morning, November 14, 2019, at Hickory Point Christian Village in Forsyth.
Iva was born August 19, 1921, in Fayette County, IL to Alva and Dora E. (Elbert) Miller. She married Carney Ray Hogan on August 19, 1937, in Holiday, IL. He passed away on July 1, 1996. Iva sold Avon for over 50 years. She was a member of Morningside Church of Christ. Iva loved music, playing and singing gospel music and cooking for her family and church.
She is survived by her son, Craig Dean Hogan; her daughter-in-law, Joan Hogan; her five grandchildren, Todd (Bethanie) Hogan, Scott (Teresa) Hogan, Laura (Jeff) Guy, Tony Logan and Joey (Michelle) Logan; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carney; her son, Elwin Hogan; her daughter, Carol (Jim) Logan; her granddaughter, Kristina Pyles; and her eight siblings.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Iva Hogan will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. before the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
