Ivan Wiley's Obituary
Ivan Richard Wiley, 92, of Decatur, IL passed away July 4, 2019 at Fair Havens Christian Village, Decatur, IL.
Ivan was born January 9, 1927 in Decatur, IL, the son of Frances Allen and Lena Leona (Pape) Wiley. He married Betty Cullumber on February 3, 1950 in Decatur, IL.
Ivan was a veteran of the military and served in Merchant Marines, US Coast Guard and US Army. After his honorable service to his country, Ivan was employed as a welder for Mason Steel and ADM. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. During his leisure he enjoyed fishing, going for walks, motorcycling, yard work and gardening, and stacking hay at David’s place.
Surviving are his children, Carol Pinkley (Dale) of Gobels, MI, Ruth Atwater (Doug) of Decatur, IL, Debra Reynolds of Decatur, IL, David Wiley (Kathy) of Dalton City, IL, Cheryl Sigmon (Russell) of Decatur, IL; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; one son, Richard Dennis Wiley, who is missing in action in Vietnam; 7 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 8, 2019 at Riverside Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 9 – 11 AM Monday at the church. Cremation services will be provided by Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home following services. Inurnment will be at a later date at Brown Cemetery.
