Dr. John Donald Ferry, 86, of Decatur died on December 15, 2009 in St. Mary’s Hospital. Visitation will be at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home on Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be a Read Obituary

Sorry to hear about Dr.Ferry's passing. He contributed much to Decatur during his years of practice. We last saw him at at a Erin's baptism in Chicago a little of a year ago. As usual he was very upbeat and conversant. We know he will be greatly missed.

I will always remember Big Don's smiling face and friendly attitude while played Apples to Apples in November 2008 at Dini & Rob's home when Greg and I came to visit. Big Don was the winner at a game which we have enjoyed many, many times with family and friends. But playing in Decatur with Big Don will remain my happiest Apples to APples memory.Dini and Rob were wonderful companions and helpmates in his two last years as they were to our mother in her last decade, and more.
