Jack Creek's Obituary
Jack Stephen Creek, 72, of Decatur passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 in his home.
Jack was born on November 11, 1943 in Decatur the son of Robert and F. Christine (Chase) Creek. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and was a retired painter from Caterpillar Manufacturing. He was a member of Stephen Decatur Lodge #979 A.F. & A.M., A.A.S.R. Valley of Springfield, and the Ansar Shriners. He was also a member of Second Church of God. He married Susan Auten on May 27, 1989 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Susan; son, Dwayne Creek (Lori) of Decatur; daughter, Kelley Fisch (Steve) of Tallahassee, FL; brothers, Andy Creek (Linda) of Decatur; Scott Creek of Petersburg; and grandchildren, Brittany, Rebecca, and Zoey.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service to celebrate Jack’s life will be 10 AM Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Pritts officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Monday in the funeral home with Masonic Rites at 7 PM Monday. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
