Jack “Pappy” Logue, 79, of Decatur passed away on Thursday April 9, 2015 in St. John’s Hospital
Jack was born on June 17, 1935 in Decatur the son of Harry O. “Bobe” and Edna (Craft) Logue Sr. He was retired from Decatur Fire Department Station 7 after 27 years and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He worked for Logue Trucking all his life until his passing. He was an avid softball player and fisherman. He married Alice Marie Killman on June 16, 1962. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2014.
Surviving are his son, Bobby Logue of Decatur; daughter, Tera Lynn Logue of Decatur; brother Jerry Logue (Trisha) of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Sue Binkley of Boody; sister-in-law, Peggy Logue of Decatur; grandson, Josh Logue (Michele) of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Allyssa Gordan, Madison Logue, and Mya Logue; cousin, Pokey Logue (Susan) of Decatur; close friend, Kim Hursh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Michael Lynn Logue, and brother, Bobo Logue.
Funeral service to celebrate Jack’s life will be 10 AM Tuesday April 14, 2015 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to the family.
