Jackie Brown's Obituary
Jackie Brown, 84, of Decatur, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 15, 1934 in Rosedale, Mississippi to Louis and Goldia (Wilson) Wright. She moved to Chicago in 1946 at 12 years old with her mother and father. Jackie moved to Decatur, IL in 1988 and became a member of Temple #4 for 24 years, New Salem Baptist Church and Community Church of God, since 2014. Jackie worked at Hampton Glass Company and worked at a laundry company for one year. She worked in housekeeping for seventeen years. Jackie loved to talk and tell the life she used to live and how she changed and is now saved. She try to help others come to know God and everyone knows that she had a great mind for remembering many things.
Jackie leaves to mourn her death, one son, Louis Brown, Six grandchildren, Joe, Lee, Robert, Shaka “Champaine” Tiffany, Nachesia; nine great grandchildren, Gabriel, Tramer, Betty Clarks (six children) and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her only brother, Nathaniel Pittman (Frances her sister in-in-law), whom she loved very much; her sons, Clark and Donell, daughter-in-law, Marsher (Louis); her two sisters, Verile Flagg and Emma Bell Boss.
