Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Moody's Obituary
Decatur – Jacqueline L. “Jackie” Moody, 92, of Decatur, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 in Fair Havens Christian Home.
Jackie was born June 13, 1924 in Taylorville, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Alma (Dennison) Martin. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for nearly 50 years, a member of Legion of Mary and hospital auxiliary. Jackie, a Decatur Realtor, retired from Tom Brinkoetter & Co. in 2014 at the age 89. She married Robert J. Moody and he preceded her in death February 7, 1990. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Jackie is survived by her children: Celene (Vern) Wilson of Calico Rock, AR, Greg (Margaret) Moody of Cadiz, KY, Robert (Kathy) Moody of Decatur and Mary Moody of Columbia, MO; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; many clients, associates and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Jackie’s life will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; Rev. Richard Weltin, celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass in the church. Burial will take place in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Animal Rescue or donor’s choice.
