Jacqueline "Jackie" Mayberry's Obituary
Jacqueline “Jackie” Mayberry, 86 of Decatur passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in McKinley Court.
Jackie was born on February 10, 1930 in Decatur the daughter of Bennie and Belma (Bilyeu) McArty. She married James Mayberry on August 23, 1953 in Decatur. She worked for Jewel many years, and later worked for Walmart for fifteen years. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2005. Jackie enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, was an avid Bulls fan, and loved making fudge.
Surviving are her daughter, Pam Mayberry of Decatur; and her grand dog, Casey; and grand cat, Tori, many nieces and nephews, and one sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and one sister.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to special friends; Moe & Donna, Carla, Tami, and Charlene. The family also would like to thank the staff at McKinley Court and staff at DMH for all their compassionate care they provided for Jackie.
Graveside services to celebrate Jackie’s life will be 10am, Monday June 20, 2016 in Graceland Cemetery. Casual attire is requested. Memorial donations may be directed to Homeward Bound Pet Shelter.
