I hope this expression of sympathy reaches Jimmy's family as we just recently learned of his passing. I have fond childhood memories of Jodi and Jimmy. When we lived in Texas they were friends of my parents, Mike & Margie and we spent quite a bit of time together. I remember how special I felt when Jimmy let me name two of their pet fish, which I dubbed Webster and E.T. ! Jimmy was a very sweet and patient man. I have no doubt that his absence is felt in the lives of his friends and family that are left behind. God Bless.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed working will him at Illinois EPA. It was always a nice surprise we he came out to the fairgrounds to watch my dogs have fun in the agility ring. I will miss seeing him at the fossil show.

Jim and I carpooled for many years from Decatur to Springfield and I got to know him and his family very well. I admire him most for his servant leadership! Jim was always serving others whether it was umpiring so teams could play, leading Boy Scout, or the countless hours he spent in buildings and grounds projects at the church. He was alway so proud of his son Andy and a devoted husband to Jodi. I have many memories of stories he would tell but one that makes me laugh even today was about Jodi’s pet rat who would run up Jim’s arm and bite him. My prayers are with you Jodi and Andy and all who will miss him.

I worked with Jim at the Illinois EPA. We both came in very early in the mornings and talked about so many wonderful things, but mainly owls and tea. I missed him so much when he retired. What a lovely man who had so much wit and wisdom to share. Condolences to family and friends.
