James Robert "Bob" Wilson's Obituary
James Robert “Bob” Wilson, 95, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Heritage Manor in Mt. Zion.
Bob was born June 10, 1923, in Mt. Zion, IL to James and Martha (Turpin) Wilson. He proudly served in United States Army during WWII. He married Norma Jean Branson on March 4, 1943 in Clayton, Missouri.
Bob is survived by his wife of 76 years, Norma Jean; three children, James Wilson of Decatur, IL, Sally (Gary) Woodworth of Tuscola, IL and Jo Ann (Gary Fee) Burris of Alberton, MT; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Bob Wilson will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2019, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
