James W. "Bullet" Dick's Obituary
Decatur-James W. “Bullet” Dick Sr., 90, of Decatur, passed away 3:54 a.m. with his family by his side, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Heritage Health in Mt. Zion.
Jim was born December 13, 1922 in Findlay, Illinois, the son of William and Goldie (Larck) Dick. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. He was previously employed and retired from N and S Railroad. He married Rose M. Fiorino, July 3, 1946. She preceded him in death January 21, 2013.
He leaves behind his children Phyllis Atwood and husband Larry of Decatur, IL, James W. Dick, Jr. and wife Sherry of Decatur, IL, Rose England and companion Stephen York of Decatur, and Margaret Gwin and husband Bob of Lovington, stepchildren Joe Fiorino and wife Sharon of Pasadena, MD, John Fiorino of Melbourne, FL, sister Dora Wood of Decatur, eleven grandchildren, twenty seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was reunited in Heaven with his wife, parents, two brothers, two sisters, and granddaughter Tina Tomlovich.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff, especially Kayce for all of their loving compassionate care.
Services to celebrate James’ life will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2013 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday October 25, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial with “Flight Home” Ceremony and Military Honors will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Association.
