James Edward Elliott's Obituary
James Edward Elliott, 41, Southern Pines, NC (formerly of Lovington) died December 11, 2015.
James was born September 7, 1974 in Decatur, IL, parents Mary Ellen Mocabee Burt and Kent Edward Elliott. He attended Bethany Grade School and Lovington High School.
James served in the US Navy for 10 years then began a new career as a Program Manager for Premier Technologies. James is best known for his sense of humor, being a loyal friend, loving father and husband. He was an accomplished photographer, an official Jeep fanatic, PC gamer and lover of all technology. His smile and sense of humor made him loved by all, he was fun to be with, and always kind. He will always be remembered with love and laughter by all.
James is survived by his wife, Paula Marie Reser Elliott. Married May 28, 1994. They enjoyed twenty-one wonderful laugh filled years. Also survived by sons Zachary James Elliott and Brandon Edward Elliott, all of Southern Pines, NC.
Also survived by parents Mary Ellen (Lynn) Burt, Decatur, IL; Kent (Norma) Elliott, Marble Falls, AR; sister, Jennifer (Steven) Ventress, Macon, IL; grandfather, Carroll Elliott, Lovington, IL; niece and nephews, Olivia and Grayson Ventress, Keith and Nathan Gerisch; parents in law, Gary and Joyce Logan, Lovington, IL; sister in law, Jennifer Reser, Overbrook, KS; stepfather, Steve Bowers, Mt. Zion, IL.
Preceded by grandparents, Carl and Mary Margaret Mocabee and Wilma June Elliott.
Macon County Honor Guard will provide military rites at 5855 Lakelynn Dr, Macon, IL on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 2:00 PM.
