Carla, I just saw Jim's obituary on line. Retiring in Vegas, I miss a lot of what happens in Decatur. I'm so sorry for you and your family upon Jim's passing. But be assured every child who's picture he took, colleague, and fellow golfer will always remember Jim as one of the best. I will never forget the good times we had on the golf course during his year end tournament. Jim always had a smile on his face and a good word for everyone he met. He'll be in our hearts forever.

Jim hired me in the summer of 1972 for the next school picture season. I had just graduated high school. He took the risk by allowing me to do the job and trusted me to go on my own with his equipment and sometimes Betty’s Cougar to schools all over central Illinois. I learned a lot about the job but more about myself. I’m very thankful to Jim for the trust and allowing me to have that experience. Fun job! My children and grandkids have ALL heard the word “HOOPERNANNY” at picture time. Our sincere condolences to your family at this time.
