Dearest Aunt Cynthia & family,
I cannot express enough my sadness and sympathy at this time of loss to you and your family. Also extended family & friends who's live's were enriched so deeply by knowing and loving such a GREAT man. He was truly a "One of a Kind".
The stories and memories I hold in mind and heart are, as I write, making me laugh and cry at the same time! I can't tell you how long my dad, Jerry, would take to tell a Uncle Jim story because he was laughing to hard to start the thing!!!! We waited in anticipation, and it was always worth it to eventually hear.
Childhood memories are my fondest when the cousins were together on Lake Ridge Ave. or in Harristown, and eventually Findlay, IL. Weather it was a puppy heist of a dog named "Lucky", sending me down the basement stairs in a box (OUCH"), dirt bike wrecks, or just being where we shouldn't be, doing all the stuff we shouldn't do..... Uncle Jim just shook his head and after a pause (The Floyd boys could pause ya know!) would just laugh his best laugh. I can hear that laugh in my head right now!! I so glad my dad laughs the same way!!
The distance we are enduring does not diminish where my heart is at this time of loss & sadness. I will remember my Uncle Jim with such admiration, respect and love to a life very well lived. I am truly lucky to have had him in my life.
With Love,
Christy (Floyd) Spellman & family
