James L. Logan's Obituary
Decatur-James L. Logan, 72, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 in his home.
Jim was born April 2, 1942 in Decatur, the son of John R. Logan and Gladas (Long) Logan in Decatur, IL. He married Carol E. Hogan August 24, 1963. They were able to celebrate their fifty year wedding anniversary together. She preceded him in death January 10, 2014. He retired from ADM West Plant with 40 years of service.
James leaves behind his sons Anthony Logan and Joey (Michelle) Logan, daughter Kristina (Mark) Pyles, grandchildren Heather, Felicia, and Jessica Logan, Brittany Phipps, and Bruce Doyle, brother-in-law Craig Hogan, brothers Derald (Doris) Logan, Gerald Logan, John “Bob” (Donna) Logan, Dwayne Jr. Logan, and Tom (Janet) Logan, and sister-in-law Joan Hogan, sisters Mary Ragan, and Darlene Logan, mother-in-law Iva Hogan all of Decatur.
He was reunited in Heaven with his wife Carol, parents, brothers Louie , Donnie, Charles, sisters Josephine, and Betty, and daughter-in-law Mary Logan.
Services to celebrate Jim’s life will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
