James Wonder Pugh's Obituary
James Wonder Pugh, 76, of Decatur, passed away November 21, 2022 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
James was born in Brownsville, Tennessee on June 8, 1946, the son of Isiah and Mattie (Cliff) Pugh. He worked as a pipefitter for Mueller Company. He will be remembered fondly for his singing, laughing, and cracking jokes. He loved spending time with his family. He was passionate about his truck and spent time washing it every week. James was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur.
James is survived by his children Linda Pugh Walker of Decatur, Ashley Pugh of Decatur, Raymond Williams of Decatur, and Raymone Williams of Decatur; siblings Charlie Pugh of Decatur, Clyde Williams of Decatur, and Carolyn (James) Topps of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren Jawaun Pugh, Tierance Slaw, Ramone Williams Jr., Leonna Walker, Taihley Johnson, Zyaire Williams, and Ontavius Jr.; great-granddaughter Heavenly Folks; aunt Ann Marie Cliff; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, children Sharon Pugh and James Pugh, siblings Isiah Pugh, Morris Lee Williams, and Willie D. Williams, and granddaughter LaPorsha Folks.
Funeral services for James will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will begin 10:00am and will be followed by a funeral service at 11:00am. Burial in Fairlawn Cemetery will follow the service. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
