James Stewart Rambo's Obituary
Decatur-James Stewart “Jim” Rambo, 43, of Decatur, passed away at 5:07 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 at St. John’s Hospital with his family by his side.
Services to celebrate Jim’s life will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2010 in the chapel of Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Family requests casual attire. Interment with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the James Rambo Benefit Fund at Soy Capitol Bank. Jim was born May 20, 1966 in Decatur the son of Herbert and Josephine (Stewart) Rambo. He enjoyed fishing and monster trucks. He married Christy Dodd April 1, 2005 in Decatur.
He leaves behind his wife Christy, sons; Tyler and Jesse Rambo, mother; Josephine Rambo of Decatur, stepson; Zachary Whitsel of Oreana, brothers; Tim Rambo and wife Martha of Cisco, Joe Rambo and wife Janet of Lake City, and David Rambo and wife Brenda of Lovington, sisters; Cindy Rambo of Hammond, Tina Conder and husband Delbert of Decatur, and Cathy Hodge and husband Gary of Lovington.
He was reunited in heaven with his father.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Doctors, nurses, and staff at Decatur Memorial Hospital and St. John’s Hospital for all of their loving care.
