James "Jim" Thomas' Obituary
James “Jim” Thomas 85, Decatur (formerly of Lovington), passed away Tuesday February 25, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Jim was born April 11, 1928, the son of Viola Thomas. Jim was a resident at Hickory St. Place in Decatur for the past 3 years, there he had many friends and staff who loved him dearly. He was a big Chicago Cubs fan, loved to sing gospel music. Like most men, his simple pleasures in life were teasing his lady friends and staff.
Jim leaves behind his special friend Nancy, and all of his friends at Moultrie County Community Center, Beacon St. Place, 44Th St. Place & HSP.
He is preceded in death by his mother.
A graveside service to celebrate Jim’s life will be 1pm Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Graceland Cemetery.
