Jamie L. Chaney's Obituary
Effingham- Jamie L. Chaney, 46, of Effingham, passed away, Friday, March 30, 2012 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
A gathering to celebrate the life of Jamie will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Interment in Graceland Cemetery will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to Effingham Terrace, 1101 S. Third St, Effingham, Illinois 62401.
Jamie was born April 27, 1965 the son of Francis and Beverly (Porter) Chaney. Jamie was a kind soul and touched the lives of everyone that knew him.
He is survived by his brothers; Frank Chaney of Effingham, and Bill (Susie) Chaney of Decatur, sister; Melody (James) Foster of North Augusta, South Carolina, nieces and nephews; Josh Linton, Jason Linton, Nichole Foster, Dakota Linton, Maliyah Goyen, and Quincy Carter.
Jamie was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Effingham Terrace for all the kindness and care they showed Jamie through out the years.
