Janet M. Edwards' Obituary
Decatur – Janet M. Edwards, 60, of Pana, formerly of Decatur, went to Heaven with Jesus at 8:48 pm Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at her residence after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Services to celebrate Janet’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to the family. Interment with the “Flight Home” Ceremony will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Janet was born March 30, 1952 in Decatur, the daughter of Guy “Bud” and Evelyn (Bales) Edwards. Janet worked at Steak-n-Shake for 35 years, and then at Heritage Manor for less than a year before she became ill. She was a member of the Heartland Community Church of Decatur for 24 years. Janet reached her goal and met her King.
Janet loved her family and friends, working, going to church, animals, and being outside.
She will be dearly missed by her sister Kathy J. Edwards of Pana, formerly of Decatur, brothers: Larry Edwards (wife Joann) of Puyallup, WA, and Jerry Edwards (wife Lynda) of Mesa, Arizona, sister -in-law Tammy Edwards of Pana, eight nieces and nephews: Rich Edwards of WA, Jennifer Edwards of WA,Kimberly Edwards Russell (husband Pat) of WA, Mark Edwards (wife Shileen) of Gilbert, Arizona, Chad Edwards (wife Cory), Phillip “Lee” Edwards (wife Sara) of Pana, Jaime Edwards Allen (husband Travis) of Herrick, Matthew Edwards (wife Lisa) of Pana, fifteen great nieces and nephews and family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her dad Bud Edwards, mom Evelyn Edwards, and her brother Phillip L. Edwards, Sr.
