Janet Lee Root, 80, of Decatur, IL passed away March 4, 2020 at St. Mary's Hospital. Janet was born, June 10, 1939 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Oscar and Edith Campbell. She married Sylvester “Bud” Root on October 26, 1956 in Read Obituary
We are saddened to hear about Janet's passing. She has been our neighbor for several years and we couldn't have asked for a better one. You could always count on seeing her whenever we were outside. The neighborhood will not be the same without her. Unfortunately we could not attend her funeral as we are in Arizona. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I knew Janet, from her & her sister Sue, from coming in the Wagon years ago. Then she & her husband, moved into the home, my niece & her family had built, when they moved. So I would see her again, after many years, b/c my Sister lives next door. She was fun & full of life. Her & Sue, was so very entertaining. May she RIP. 🙏🙏 for all her family & friends.
Janet was such a blessing to my family. Great friend to my dad and Brandon's buddy. She will be deeply missed. Sending our condolences.

Janet was a very good friend. She was the person whom introduced me to my husband Tommy. What a blessing. I will always be grateful. Her and I had the best time on our trip out East in the Fall to see the leaves. Always positive, smiling and loved her family. You will never be forgotten.
