Janette Faye Lucas' Obituary
Decatur-Janette Faye Lucas, 63, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Janette was born March 18, 1954 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky the daughter of Silas and Nancy (Pate) Kennedy. She enjoyed spending time with her family, scrapbooking and playing the slot machines. Janette married James Lucas December 9, 1972. They shared over forty-four years together.
Janette leaves behind her husband James, children James Lucas and fiancé Leona Scribner and Becky Lucas and fiancé Jack Brown, grandchildren Kayli Calvert and husband Cameron, Tristan Brown girlfriend Tristin Riggen, Thomas Brown, Stephanie Scribner and boyfriend Daryl, Kevin Liming and fiancé Stephanie Chumbley, and was a grandma to many others, great-grandchildren Zain and Kegan Calvert and Makenna and Luke Liming, and sisters Frances Dasenbrock and husband James and Tammy Woodward-Espisito.
Janette was greeted in Heaven by her parents and brothers Samuel Pate, Silas Kennedy, and Franklin Kennedy.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at DMH.
Services to celebrate Janette’s life will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 24, 2017 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, March 23, 2017. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family in care of James Lucas.
