Janice Eileen Hill's Obituary
Janice (Jan) Hill of Decatur, Illinois passed away Friday July 31st, 2020.
Jan was born March 5th, 1952 in Portland, Oregon. She was a graduate of Mr. John’s Cosmetology School where she began her own beauty salon career. She married Forest (Bud) Hill on November 27th, 1971 and they have been married for 49 years.
Jan was a loving wife, mother, sister, nanny, aunt and friend to so many. She had a big heart and provided to anyone who may have been in need. She was a lover for mystery and paranormal shows, that being said everyone WATCH OUT! She enjoyed riding around with the top down in a convertible, anything that was ‘goofy’ related, and playing games on her phone. No matter the limitations her body made for her, she pushed right on through making her one tough woman. Jan was one of a kind and will be deeply missed and loved by so many.
She is preceded in death by her mother Louis Leigh, step-mother Bonnie Underwood, father Charles Underwood, mother-in-law Wanda Hill, father-in-law Wayne (Tubby) Hill, sister Jenny Thompson, and daughter Peggy Perry.
Jan is survived by her husband Forest (Bud) Hill, her three sons: David Hill, Steven Hill, and Bob Hill (Jeri), her son-in-law Jimmy Perry, her two daughters: Lisa Farley and Brittney Farley, her three brothers: Allen Underwood (Cheri), Joe Underwood, and Mike Leming, and her sister Kathy Scott (Eddie). She is survived by 10 grandchildren: Loren Hill, Stefaun (Tyler) Hill, Sierra Hill, Preston Hill (Ashley), Cody Mcdermith (Molly), Kira Longcore (Tony), Chasity Winkelman (Lance), Jonathan Hill, Jamie Perry, and Carmen Grayned. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and those she accepted in her life as family.
Pallbearers will include: David Hill, Steven Hill, Bob Hill, Stefaun (Tyler) Hill, Preston Hill, Jonathan Hill, and Jamie Perry.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Janice will be 11 a.m. Saturday August 8, 2020, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2020, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery following the services.
