Janice Lee Redding's Obituary
Janice L. Redding, 77, of Decatur danced thru heavens gates at 5:20 p.m. Thursday August 13, 2015, in St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Jan was born on August 22, 1937, in Decatur, the daughter of Vesta and Theodore Davis they preceded her in death.
Jan married her soul mate Beryle Redding Sr. in Decatur he survives her.
Together they had four children, Beryle Redding, Jr, Cathy Francisco (Rob), Melissa Redding and Mary Binkley (Jeff). Jan leaves behind 11 grandchildren and one brother, John Brilley (Ruth); special granddaughter, Miranda Redding Fleck (Cody) and her beloved cat Maggie whom will continue to be spoiled and taken care of.
Jan was a great wife, mother, grandmother, friend and a true angel on earth. She loved going to the river boat in Peoria shopping and crocheting in the winter.
Celebration of life and first birthday in heaven will be celebrated Saturday, August 22, at 11a.m. at First General Baptist Church in Decatur for close friends, family and church family.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Norma Hunt for her strength and kindness, The First General Baptist Church family for all the phone calls, prayers and visits, Linda Payne and the Garrett family.
