Janice K Schnetzler's Obituary
Janice K. Schnetzler, 85, of Mt Zion, IL passed away June 16, 2023 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Janice was born January 31, 1938 in Bement, IL the daughter of Frank and Florence (Bruhn) Kerns. She was a veteran of the US Navy.
She married Bobby Joe Schnetzler on November 21, 1970 in Sullivan, IL.
Janice had worked as a CNA for Woodlawn Nursing Center. She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing and crafting of all sorts. She especially enjoyed dancing.
Surviving are her children, Wesley Tabor (Patrice) of Slydale, LA, Ricky Schnetzler (Annie) of Girard, IL, Michael Schnetzler (Leigh Anne) of Virginia Beach, VA, Frank Schmetzler (Michelle) of Decatur, IL, Regina Bolden (Becky) of Gloster, LA, Kathy Graham (Steven) of Mt Zion, IL; brother, Norman Kerns of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 16 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her parents, husband Bobby Joe, 2 sons and 2 brothers and one grandchild.
Funeral service will be 10 AM Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 – 10 AM June 27, 2023 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be 1:00 PM Tuesday June 27, 2023 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorials: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Alzheimer’s Foundation.
