Jason M. Windlan's Obituary
Decatur-Jason M. Windlan, 35, of Decatur, passed away at 2:25 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital with his family by his side.
Memorial services to celebrate Jason’s life will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with the “Flight Home” Ceremony to conclude the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to ANE Behavioral & St. Mary’s Rehab. Jason was born July 31, 1974 in Decatur the son of Jeff and Linda (Fulk) Windlan.
He was a security officer that had worked at DMH, Millikin University, and the Decatur Conference Center and Hotel. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.
He leaves behind his parents; Jeff and Linda of Decatur, maternal grandparents; Jesse and Dorothy Fulk of Maroa, sister; Christal Johnson and husband Andre of Decatur, nephews; Andre and Diohn Johnson both of Decatur, aunts; Carol Gasaway of Decatur, Carol Paullin of Iowa, Jenny Earles of Maroa, Marsha Fyke of Decatur, Lori Berger, and Judy Earles of Tennessee, uncles; David Fulk of Decatur, Mike Windlan of Decatur, Pat Windlan, and Scott Windlan of Lincoln, special friends; Jamie Wrigley of Decatur and Steve Ames of Springfield, MO, several cousins, and his faithful canine companion Andy.
He was reunited in heaven with his paternal grandparents; Robert and Trela Windlan and Mary and Velmer Bray, maternal grandparents; Alva Hensley and Charlotte Riley, aunt; Connie Fulk, uncle; David Earles, and cousin; Mike Paullin.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the critical care nursing staff at St. Mary’s, Dr. Rademacher, Dr. Habib, Dr. Verma, Dr. Dawood, and Dr. Hasnain for all of their loving care and compassion.
