Jean Eleanor Eaton's Obituary
Decatur-Jean Eleanor Eaton, 91, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in Lincoln Rehabilitation Center.
Jean was born February 24, 1920 in Decatur, IL the daughter of George and Elsie (Whitaker) Eaton. She was a member of Sweet Adeline's and Central United Methodist Church. She liked to travel and hike. She traveled to every state in the union, Canada, and the Holy land. She enjoyed listening to the Decatur Park Singers and the Decatur Chorale.
Surviving are her brother, George Eaton Jr. of Winthrop Harbor, IL; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Ralph, Ray, Bill, and Chuck; three sisters, Ruth, Marge, and Doris.
Service to celebrated Jeans life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 14, 2012 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery and conclude with the 'Flight Home' ceremony. Memorials are suggested to Central United Methodist Church.
