Jean Marie Largent's Obituary
Decatur-Jean 'Jeanie' M. Largent, 74, of Decatur, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Lincoln Manor.
Services to celebrate Jeanie's life will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Rector officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Family requests casual attire. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Jeanie was born February 27, 1936 in Shelbyville, the daughter of Harry and Eva (Hinton) Riley. She was previously employed as a Deputy Sheriff with the Macon County Sheriff's Department retiring after twenty years of service. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her sons; David Largent and wife Lisa of Forsyth and Kent Largent of Decatur, daughter; Shelley Tippit and husband Cecil of Decatur, twin sister; June Schmahl of Moweaqua, grandchildren; Aaron, Jeremy and girlfriend Kelly, Marc and fiancée Katie, Chevy, and Justin, great-grandson Trey, and best friend; Peggy Rever of Decatur.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents, three brothers, one sister, and a granddaughter.
The family would like to give a special thanks to special friend Peggy, Dr. Esparaz, and nurses Renae from Lincoln Manor and Lynn with St. John's Hospice for all of their compassionate care.
