Jeffrey Kyle Benton's Obituary
Jeffrey Kyle Benton, 62, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 2:02 A.M. on Sunday (07-26-2026) at his home.
Jeff was born on April 19, 1964, in Decatur, IL, the son of Herbert L. Benton, Sr, and Wilma Jean (Tindall) Benton. He married Tricia Lynn Urquhart on January 15, 1998, in Decatur, IL.
Jeff was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church Decatur, IL. He worked maintenance for many years at various businesses in Decatur. One of his greatest loves was going to car shows with Tricia.
He is survived by his wife Tricia of Decatur, IL; daughter Kassandra “Kasey” Benton of Massillon, Ohio; one brother Curtis Benton and wife Tami of Decatur, IL; sister Cheri Underwood of Decatur, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Herbert Benton, Jr, and brother-in-law Allen Underwood.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday (07-30-2026) at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. A visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday (07-29-2026) at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. The burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park.
