Decatur-Jeffrey 'Jeff' Bennett Melton, 45, of Decatur, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Bloomington.
Jeff was born February 17, 1968 in Paris, Kentucky, the son of Linda (Loveall) Weinman. He was previously employed as a carpenter. He was a member of the NRA. He married Melissa Alderson ' Grunden- May 16, 1992 in Decatur.
He leaves behind his wife Melissa, sons Thomas K. Grider and wife Maranda of Decatur, Lucas R. Melton and wife Hayley of Altus, Oklahoma, and Zachary K. Melton of Decatur, mother Linda Weinman and step father John of Decatur, sister Cathy McCumber of Decatur, and granddaughter Scarlett Grider of Decatur and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins
Services to celebrate Jeff's life will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family or the American Heart Association.
