Decatur-Jeffrey L. 'Jeff' Shelley, 45, of Springfield, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 in Decatur.
Services to celebrate Jeff's life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Way.
Jeff was born April 4, 1966 in Decatur the son of Don and Sandra (Chapman) Shelley. He graduated from Warrensburg-Latham High School class of 1984. He was the owner/operator of Carpenter Connections. He used his talents to help rebuild Joplin, MO, after the tornado in 2011. He enjoyed boating, fishing, four wheelers, and being with his family and friends.
He leaves behind his father Donald Shelley, daughter Blake Neathery, sister Jeanette Shelley Vought, niece Michelle Vought, nephew Bryan Vought, great-nephew Dominic, great-niece Brynna, Uncles William Shelley and Roger Chapman, Aunt Jean Mansfield, and cousins Nick Shelley, Mary Shelley Dubayah, Tim, Crystal, and Cindy.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sandra, Uncles John Shelley and Melvin Chapman, and brother-in-law Wayne Vought.
