Jerald D. Campbell's Obituary
Decatur-Jerald D. 'Jerry' Campbell, 74, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital.
Graveside services to celebrate Jerry's life will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Graceland Cemetery with military honors conducted by the USAF and the 'Flight Home' Ceremony will conclude the service.
Jerry was born August 12, 1937 in Decatur the son of Oscar and Edith Campbell. He proudly served his country in the USAF during the Korean War. He worked in construction and was a driver for Jackson Ford. He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He married Bobbie Nichols and then later married Mary Warren.
He leaves behind his sons Mark and Robert of Dayton, Ohio, daughters Karen Campbell and Terri (Chuck) Wagner all of Dayton, Ohio, step-sons Ronnie Warren Jr., Rick Warren Sr., and Rodney Warren Sr., six grandchildren, special grandson Rodney 'Boo' Warren Jr., five step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brothers Bobby (Carol) Campbell of Decatur and Paul Campbell of Cowden, sisters Sue (Bob) Landers of Decatur and Janet (Bud) Root of Jordan, Arkansas, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, two sisters, and one son.
