Jesse Orville Ingram's Obituary
Decatur-Jesse Orville Ingram Jr., 70, of Decatur, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Jesse was born September 30, 1944 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Jesse Orville and Betty A. (Kalips) Ingram Sr. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He was previously employed with ADM. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and the YMCA where he drove the bus for several years. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing and was a dedicated blood donor. Jesse married Sharon Ann Bridgeman January 23, 1965. She preceded him in death December 1, 2003. He then married Linda Allshouse July 7, 2007.
Jesse leaves behind his wife Linda, son Thomas Ingram (Pamela), daughter Laura “Lori” Dieckhaus (Joseph), grandchildren J.T., Aaron, and Sharon Ingram and Kyle and Austin Dieckhaus, great-grandchildren Delaney and Layla Ingram, sisters Mary Anna Smith (Glenn), Betty Fuchs, and Diane Keller (Rob), stepson Jeffrey Morefield, stepdaughters Rebecca Waggoner (Chris) and Cherell (Charles) Cole, and step-grandchildren Marissa Cole and Kira and Aubrie Cole.
Jesse was reunited in Heaven with his parents, wife Sharon, infant child, and sisters Roseanne Ingram, Becky Reynolds, and Edith Shaffer.
Services to celebrate Jesse’s life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Private family burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Salem Baptist Church.
