Jesse Clinton Thompson's Obituary
Jesse Clinton Thompson was born on September 22, 1937 and went to be with Jesus on July 22, 2021. He was a devoted husband to Kathleen Ann Thompson for 64 years. He was survived by Kathleen Thompson and his six children: Jerry Thompson (Tabby Thompson), Terri Thompson, Candice Cook (Bob Cook), Babette Moser (Chris Moser), Sherri Jackson (Brett Jackson), and Joe Thompson (Linda Thompson); 11 grandkids: Josh Thompson, Kerri Kahn (Phillip Kahn), Stephanie Ellis (Bryce Ellis), Casey Wegener (Andrew Wegener), Krystal Pumphrey (Ray Pumphrey), David Cook (Brittany Boulier), Andrew Jackson (Angie Boles), Tyler Jackson (Kassey Jackson), Jimmy Jackson (Destiney Lynch), Megan Blair (Chad Leftler), and Courtney Lowe (Blake Lowe).
Jesse was the most loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Goldie Thompson; his brothers Eugene Thompson, Bill Thompson, and Jerry Thompson; and his great-grandchild Kannen Joe Allen.
For Jesse, the most important part of his life was his family. In his spare time, Jesse enjoyed woodworking, small engines, and working in his garden. He was a deacon and member of Sulfur Springs Baptist Church in Mexico, Kentucky.
Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is providing cremation services for Jesse. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 28 at 2:00pm at Harristown Cemetery. Jesse’s family invites all to attend a meal at the Harristown Township Hall following the service.
