Jimmie D. Bundy's Obituary
Decatur-Jimmie D. Bundy, 77, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Fair Havens Christian Home in Decatur with his family by his side.
He was born December 17, 1936 in Decatur, the son of Raymond Floyd and Margaret Mae (Moler) Bundy. He worked for the Wabash Railroad for over 45 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his golfing days at Nelson Park Golf Course. In his later years he loved watching golf on T.V. He liked sitting around the kitchen table listening to country music, his favorite song was Neon Moon. He married Norma Minnis in 1955. She preceded him in death April 6 in 1987. He later married Joann Kirk in 1995. She preceded him in death in 2004.
He leaves behind his son, Rocky (Christie) Bundy of Decatur; sister, Linda Williams of Decatur; brother, Dale Bundy of Decatur; grandson, Rocky Bundy (Katie) of Omaha, NE; granddaughter, Jill Bundy of Decatur; step-grandson, Craig Lienhart (Jenny) of Carmel, IN; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He will be missed by his family and his golfing pals, especially Bobby, Joe, and Big D.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, one brother, Ray, one sister, Patty, and two sons, Jimmie and Kevin.
A special thank you goes to nurse station #1 at Fair Havens Christian Home for all their care.
Honoring Jimmie’s wishes there will be no visitation or services. Entombment will be at the Star of Hope Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
