So many memories...kids, racecars, family. I am thankful for the moments and I thank you for Jace & being Bugs dad. I wouldn't trade the times dragging you around track to track. Boy howdy, you were a force to be reckoned! We had a good run. It was always fun and at times nerve wracking watching you do what you do! And good gravy can't forget trying to wrangle in that temper :) I will never not think of you when I hear Nelly "I am #1" that song was on loop on the way to the track, the ultimate finger to the haters LOL. I will make sure Jace knows that Joe.
I will share those memories with the kids. The other stuff, well, it's just not important. I will push Jace to honor you by staying in school, working hard & living a good life. That was important to you...that the kids not know the struggles that you did. I will encourage all the kids to remember your love & light and not dwell on darkness.
You loved your children & grands fiercely! You were generous with your time & talents. You lived with demons but strove to overcome them. Sometimes you beat them down and sometimes they got the upper hand. I am so thankful that Jace got to spend the last couple of years with you. HE needed that and YOU needed that. I was very proud of the place in life you were in. Thank you for the memories. God welcomed another driver to heaven. Godspeed Joe.
