A true lifetime friend always there
Archie never told me I was wrong, even when I was. He would ask something along the lines of "why would you do that?" and "what do you hope to get out of that?". He really expected an answer. It wasn't a rhetorical question. It made me stop and think about what I was about to do. Usually made me change my mind for the better.
John was quite the jokester with a laugh that was contagious. Not all his jokes were clean but we laughed anyway. He stayed with my mom, Marga Ahrens, his aunt, all day in the hospital when she had Covid. I loved our late night chats, what a character! He could carry a good conversation, and we had talks about religion, politics, etc. He always seemed to be upbeat and positive.
Martica Lancaster lit a candle in memory of John Archibald
John Archibald, aka Archie, always had a positive attitude. He had the best laugh ever. When Archie laughed, his whole torso was in his laugh. From his belly to his shoulders and up to his chuckle. His glasses would slip down his nose from his and chuckle and laugh. Other than that part of his personality, we have too many times together to add to a small space. We love you Archie. You might be gone but never forgotten. RIP
