John I think of you alot and just want you to know how much I really miss your witt and all your survival knowledge and the love you had with God and your beautiful family. I miss you my nephew. I see things and it triggers a memory of something we talked about and tears come to my eyes knowing that now I cant call you up to reminisce over it. I always looked forward to seeing my cousin John because he would always lift my spirits no matter what the situation. He was beyond friendly and never anything less than genuine. My most vivid memory was how he showed me some of his artwork when I was a kid which overwhelmed me with excitement. Most of my memories around that age were blurry but that one in particular is still incredibly vivid. My only explanation is that John had that sort of impact on me, to the point where I can still see his smiling face encouraging me to keep drawing. John, I'll miss you. You were a great man and my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

My heart is breaking for this fine young man's family and friends, and I am saddened by this loss. John was one of my son's best friends in high school and spent a lot of time at my house. John, Mark, and Chris were always together, and it was fun having them around. I remember John as a hard worker, a talented artist and musician, and just one of my boys. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends that God will grant you peace and comfort in this difficult time. John was a very good friend of mine. I can remember us being in band in high school and he sure was a very good drum player. I can also remember going to church with him at St. John's Baptist church on west river rd in Bostwick when his dad was our preacher. He sure is going to be missed, but never forgotten. May you R. I. I remember High School and having Art class togther. We used to compete on who was better at certain things. John was hands down better and more creative than me. He also became an inspiration to me when I gave myself to Christ. John was true and always became a light to others. "Matthew 5:16 Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorfy your Father in Heaven". You will be truly missed and loved always. Until we meet again brother.
Smitty is sure gonna miss him them two was always making lunch plans and teazing one another we are so sorry he was a good man and will be dearly missed
