One of my best memories of John was when he helped out a 15 year old kid (me), who was building a dune buggy out of a Volkswagon and needed someone to cut and weld the frame back together. John came over with his welding rig in the back of his Chevy truck and did a precise and super strong job on it. John was very talented and took pride in his work. That was along time ago and over the years it was always nice to talk and visit with John whenever I would see him.
