John R. Logan's Obituary
John Reed Logan, 89, of Decatur, IL and Bradenton, FL died on July 22, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
John was born on April 1, 1928 in Arcola, IL the son of Timothy and Mabel Logan. He graduated from Tuscola Township High School. He Attended Eastern Illinois State University and graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. He married Faye E. Hubbard on June 12, 1949 in Pana, IL. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was a retired Pharmacist working 23 years with Roth Johnson Pharmacy downtown pharmacy and Manager of the Main & Grand Roth Johnson Pharmacy. He retired April 1, 1994 having served 18 years as manager of Physicians Plaza Pharmacy and then in Decatur Memorial Hospital Pharmacies. He was a member First Presbyterian Church having served as Elder and Clerk of Session. Life member noon Sertoma Club of Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Faye; daughter, Anne E. Smith (Bill) of Conway, AR; John R. Logan, Jr. (Dawn) of Woodland, TX; grandchildren, Michael R. Bollero, Clint B. Logan, and Melissa A. Bollero; brother, James T. Logan of Chatham, IL; and sister, Virginia M. Olson of Indianapolis, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Honoring John’s wishes cremation will take place at Graceland/Fairlawn Cremation Center. There will be no services at this time.
