John W. Logue's Obituary
Decatur- John W. Logue Sr., 73, of Decatur passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at his home with his family at his side.
A service to celebrate the life of John will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 in the chapel at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, visitation will be 1:00 p.m. till the time of the service. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to DMH Hospice or to the family. The family requests casual dress for the service.
John was born September 21, 1938 in Decatur, IL the son of William and Eva (Nesler) Logue. He retired from Firestone Rubber Company and later retired from Option Care in Decatur. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He married Connie Swinnen on May 4, 1967 in Decatur, Illinois.
John is survived by his wife; sons, John W. Logue Jr, James (Michelle) Logue, and William A. Logue all of Decatur, daughters, Jeanette (Marty) Evans, and Jackie Wharton both of Decatur, and sister, Darleen Ames, 19 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers; Sherman Logue and Chester Logue.
The family would like to thank the staff at DMH Hospice for all the kindness they showed John and Connie in their time of need.
