John W. Stogsdill, 92, of Bartlett, IL, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away December 16, 2020 at his residence.
John was born on December 19, 1927 in Niantic, IL the son of Charles and Myrtle (Wilson) Stogsdill. He married Lila Longbons on September 30, 1955, in Blue Mound, IL.
John had worked for Borg Warner and retired after 43 years of service. He was a racing enthusiast and loved animals and rescuing dogs.
Surviving are his daughter, Carol Celer (Michael) of Bartlett, IL; sister, Norma Houston (David) of Coleville, CA; grandchildren, Jillian Young (Levi) and Michael Celer ; great grandchildren, Willow and Westley Young.
Private services will be held Monday at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Video service will be streamed at funeralvue.com/login/events#43128.
