Joseph William Norris' Obituary
Joseph William Norris, 78, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Fair Havens Senior Living.
Joseph was born in Pana, Illinois, on September 18, 1943, the son of Edward and Mina (Beyers) Norris. After graduating from high school, he worked many years as a laborer. He enjoyed cars, especially Corvettes. Joseph was a faithful member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Joseph is survived by his son Michael (Heather) Norris of Chatham; siblings Patrick (Barbara) Norris of Pana and Mary Fliakos of Arlington Heights; grandson Aaron Norris; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Ann Reid.
Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is providing cremation services for Joseph. A private memorial service will be held at a later date with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Assumption. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Decatur. Condolences may be left for the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
