Joyce Eileen Stanley's Obituary
Joyce Eileen Stanley, 78, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 9:40 P.M. on Wednesday (04-29-2026) at her home with her daughter Roberta by her side.
Joyce was born on August 19, 1947, in Pana, IL, the daughter of George Hott and Georgianna (Baden) Hott. She married Robert Allen Stanley on February 24, 1964, in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death.
Joyce was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She loved listening to gospel music, enjoyed dancing and was a very good cook, especially her homemade pies and beef and noodles.
She is survived by her daughter Roberta Lynne Stanley of Decatur, IL; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters: Paula and Joyce Ann, three sisters, and one brother.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Memorial Health Hospice and Decatur Memorial Hospital for all of their care and support.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday (05-22-2026) at New Creation Community Church with a visitation one hour prior to the service. The burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park.
