Juanita Elaine Casey's Obituary
DECATUR- Juanita Elaine Casey, 89 of Decatur, passed away at 10:19 am Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, September 16, 2011 in Graceland Cemetery. The Macon County Honor Guard will conduct full military rites. There will be no visitation. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Juanita was born on January 9, 1922 in Hinton, IL. a daughter of James Clarence and Veva May (Bridgman) Isome. She served in the U.S. Navy W.A.V.E. from 1944 to 1946. She had worked at Brownie Coal Co., Decatur Bottling Company, Murphy, Jenne and Jones, Decatur Public Library, James Millikin University and Dunham School Services. Juanita was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed mini band concerts very much. She also belonged to the Macon County Historical Society since 1979, member of the Decatur Genealogical Society for many years. She gave her heart to the Lord in January of 1985, and realized God's leading, guiding and directing to all throughout life and being abundant- by blessings all these years. She married Ronald Gene Appelt on January 31, 1953. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1963. She later married Wilbur Earl Casey on August 14, 1964. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1976.
Surviving are her brothers- James R. Isome and his wife Imogene of Mt. Zion, IL., and Floyd Earl Isome of Deltona, FL, sister- Joanne Harbinson and her husband Norm of Sierra Vista, AZ and seven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother- David Isome and her sister Marianne Hauffe.
