Juanita Mae Chaney's Obituary
Decatur- Juanita Mae Chaney, 89 of Decatur, passed away at 9:54 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
Services to celebrate Juanita’s life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 on Monday evening. Interment will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church or to St. Jude.
Juanita was born on May 6, 1931 in Lane, IL, a daughter of Focian B. and Allie Mae (Belcher) McKinney. She worked for General Electric and several opticians in Decatur. Juanita married Cyrus Elmer Chaney on January 18, 1952 in Decatur. They celebrated 59 years together before he passed away on April 10, 2011. Juanita was an avid bowler, loved the outdoors, fishing and especially her grandchildren. She loved life.
Surviving are her children: Brad Chaney (Marylin) of Decatur, Cindi Pieper (Roger) of Normal, Roger Lynn Chaney (Cheryl) of Decatur, Michael Dean Chaney of Decatur and Debbie Quisenberry (Jim) of Decatur, brother- Jack McKinney (Elaine) of Kinney, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Juanita was greeted in Heaven by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister.
