Juanita Clark's Obituary
Juanita Clark, 65, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday morning, July 18, 2017, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side.
Juanita was born May 16, 1952, in Augusta, Georgia, to Larry and Susie (Jenkins) Brown. She married Pastor Dr. Ray Clark on December 31, 1972, in Augusta, Georgia. Juanita was a member of Baptist Bible Church where she organized and led the praise team and participated in various bible studies city wide. She volunteered with the Crisis Pregnancy Center. Also one of her favorite past times was to sit down and read the Bible, as well as a good book.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Pastor Dr. Ray Clark; her three children, Solomon David (Deona) Clark of Wilmington, DE, Daniel Stephen (Afryea) Clark of United Kingdom and Leah Ray-nita (Ernest) Baker of Crest Hill, IL; her mother, Susie Brown of Augusta, GA; 13 grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph, D’Hasia, Daniel Jr., Danielle, Genesis, Esaias, Dulani, Deylon, Ronin, Angelique, Veronjanae and Ernest V; three sisters, Kathy Bush of Memphis, TN, Delores Sittig of Los Angeles, CA and Dorothy Brown of Augusta, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Juanita Clark will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Riverside Baptist Church 1250 W Mound Rd, Decatur. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Baptist Bible Church.
