Judith Ann "Judy" Gardner's Obituary
DECATUR' Judith Ann 'Judy' Gardner, 59, of Decatur passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 in her mother's home.
Judy was born March 16, 1954 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of G. Wesley and Mary (Current) Gardner. She was a 1972 graduate of Warrensburg-Latham High School, worked in medical records for 32 years at St. Mary's Hospital, and was a member of Warrensburg United Methodist Church. Judy loved to read, collect house plants, and spend time with her family. She cherished the time she spent watching her grandson play baseball.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Tina Hartwig of Decatur; grandson, Hunter Wesley Hartwig; mother, Mary Gardner of Forsyth; brother, James L. Gardner of Bozeman, MT., niece, Robin Hamilton of Warrensburg; nephew, Jarrod Hamilton of Warrensburg; great niece, Mikayla Marie Craw; aunt Barbara Current of Forsyth and aunt Norabel and uncle Bill Baker, and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, G. Wesley Gardner and sister, Jane Ellen Hamilton.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of the great nurses at Harbor Lights Hospice, Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois, special friends Connie and Mary Stone, Betty Mathes, Connie Becker, and Leigh Ann Hale at Cancer Care.
Judy would like to thank her most wonderful and precious family. She could never have asked for more.
Services to celebrate Judy's life will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 in the chapel of Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home; visitation will held from 5 to 7 Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maroa Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: Homeward Bound Pet Shelter or Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois.
