Judith Lynn "Judy" Krimmel's Obituary
Judith Lynn 'Judy' Krimmel, 69, of Decatur, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.
Judy was born November 7, 1941, in Springfield, the daughter of John A. and Agnes (Brownfield) Thoman. She graduated from Millikin University in 1982 with a degree in accounting and passed the CPA exam the same year. Judy retired from Illinois Power where she worked as an accountant. She loved her grandchildren deeply and loved to do crafts, sing and work puzzles, especially crossword puzzles. She married Robert G. Krimmel on October 3, 1959 in Rochester.
Surviving are her husband, Robert of Decatur; daughters: L. Diane (Bill) Wiemer of San Jose and Jennifer (Greg) Tothero of State College, PA; sons: John (Denise) Krimmel of Atlanta, GA, and Keith (Lori) Krimmel of Indianapolis, IN; mother, Agnes Thoman of Mt. Pulaski; grandchildren: Casey Krimmel, John Wiemer, Kimberly Krimmel, Tom Wiemer, Sarah Tothero, Gracee Tothero, Matthew Krimmel and Joshua Krimmel; sisters: Janice Phares of Edinburg and Sheryl Robins of Duluth, MN; 3 nephews, several other relatives and many friends.
Preceding her in death were her father and one nephew.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Services celebrating Judy's life will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield. Memorials: Good Samaritan Inn, Habitat For Humanity, Decatur Chapter or Marion Medical Mission.
